Jeff Thompson named Executive Vice President – International

Jason Greene named Executive Vice President – General Counsel
EVANSVILLE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 2012--
Today, Berry Plastics Group, Inc. (NYSE:BERY), announced key executive
management appointments, underscoring the Company’s commitment to its
strategic plans for global growth. Jeff Thompson, Berry Plastics’
current Chief Legal Officer will lead the Company’s international
business development initiatives, in his new role as Berry Plastics’
Executive Vice President – International.
“These changes will facilitate exciting growth opportunities with our
customers around the world,” said Jon Rich, Chairman and CEO of Berry
Plastics. “Our initial focus will be to grow with our existing customers
in Latin America and Asia, introducing technology based value-added
products.”
Jason Greene will now lead the Company’s legal organization as its
Executive Vice President – General Counsel. Greene most recently served
as the Company’s Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel.

Prior to joining Berry Plastics, Thompson focused his legal
practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and corporate
law. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Indiana
University and a Juris Doctor from Indiana University Indianapolis. He
is licensed to practice law in Indiana and Colorado and is a member of
the Indiana and Evansville bar associations.
Greene joined Berry Plastics in 2010. Prior to joining the Company,
Greene was a Business Transactions and Tax Counsel at Taylor English
Duma LLP in Atlanta. From 1998-2007, he held a similar role at Powell
Goldstein LLP, and began his career in Arthur Andersen’s tax practice.
Greene holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Master’s in Accounting, and
Juris Doctor all from the University of Florida.
