EVANSVILLE, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 2013--
Berry Plastics Group, Inc. (NYSE: BERY), a leading global manufacturer
and marketer of value-added plastic packaging and engineered materials,
today introduced 3546A single-coated woven tape. 3546A joins Berry’s
extensive offering of woven, flexible film, and transfer adhesives used
in the manufacture of pulse oximeters and other medical devices.
Featuring a 25 mil stretchable woven fabric backing and white
rubber-based medical-grade adhesive, 3546A
is designed with both OEM/Converters and patients in mind.
“A key design feature of 3546A is the easy-release liner that removes
quickly for high speed converting operations as well as the woven
backing that readily accepts ink for excellent print quality,” explained
George Kontakos, Berry Plastics’ Director of Sales for Medical Tapes.
“The newly designed tape also features a specially-formulated rubber
adhesive that bonds well without lifting or flagging and also removes
cleanly without causing skin trauma.”
In addition to the 3546A Woven Tape, Berry Plastics also recently
developed and introduced 3426B
Flexible Film Tape and 3426A
Transfer Adhesive, which join the Company’s assortment of products for
pulse oximetry and medical device assembly applications.
“Berry Plastics Specialty Tapes Group has an extensive array of products
designed specifically for pulse oximetry applications including several
woven, flexible film, and transfer adhesives. Used separately or in

of device manufacturers and the performance needs of medical
