Berry Design and Technology Expertise Creates Pack Solutions for CBD Range

Innovative packaging solutions from Berry are providing effective product protection, high impact on-shelf appeal and maximum consumer convenience for a new range of Cannabidiol (CBD) cosmetic products from a specialist Hungarian company.
Berry partnered with its customer Gradiens to help the company find the most appropriate pack formats for its products, which contain only natural ingredients. Berry tailored its market-leading 30ml and 50ml Twist-Up containers and 200ml Vega AirFree® bottle for Gradiens’ Keve day and night creams, face serum and body lotion, creating packs that deliver an attractive appearance while maintaining long term the quality and efficacy of the products they contain.
Effective product protection in order to minimise unnecessary waste is an important element of Berry’s Impact 2025 sustainability strategy, which aims to work with customers to support all aspects of their sustainability goals. The advanced airless system of the packs ensures that the preservative-free creams do not come into contact with oxygen to conserve and maintain their characteristics and effectiveness.
For the face creams, the Twist-Up dispensing technology provides consistent and controlled dosing and hygienic application and in the closed position protects the products from inadvertent use. A clicking sound confirms that the dispenser is safely opened and closed every time. The Vega AirFree® bottle, meanwhile, features an inner pouch with an EVOH layer that prevents oxygen ingress for extended product protection.
