Leading the Tends at PLMA
November 27, 2019
Flocking in from over forty countries, the PLMA (Private Label Manufacturers Association) 2019 Private Label Trade Show drew interest from around the globe. The products we selected to showcase at the event led packaging trends in the private label market. One of our most popular containers at the show was clear food containers created for fresh, refrigerated, and frozen sections. These items showcase the food, while providing customers with the ability to see the product through the package. Appealing to new fresh and healthy products, our packaging is an indicator of freshness and quality. Our tamper-evident and child-resistant containers, shown at PLMA, are also important advantages for food and pharmaceutical grade products.
Our CP Division’s VP of Marketing, Lauren Piekos, reflected on the changing landscape of the private label marketplace. “It was clear from the show that consumers’ preferences are changing rapidly, and I’m pleased that Berry Global has plenty of sustainable and recyclable packaging solutions to complement these products.” We highlighted an extensive line of retail trash bags, retail tape and films suitable for pouches. We also featured examples of differentiated products and innovative decoration technologies during the event.
PLMA 2019’s theme focused on how store brands make things happeni. Based on an optimistic approach for the future, brands are creating private labels through their focus on opportunities in the marketplace. Embracing this concept, we proudly displayed some of our most innovative products like Dose Neatly™, Verdant™, and Safe Lock.
